ETOWN BLANKS DELAWARE VALLEY AND VILLA JULIE IN HOMECOMING TRI-MATCH

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown hosted a tri-match for Homecoming Saturday and came away with a pair of 3-0 victories over Villa Julie and Delaware Valley to improve its overall record to 9-10. Delaware Valley also defeated Villa Julie 3-0.

The Blue Jays defeated Villa Julie (5-11) in the first match of the day, 15-12, 15-5, 16-14. Villa Julie came back in the second match to fall to Delaware Valley 15-8, 15-8, 15-9. Delaware Valley (6-13) faced Elizabethtown in the third and final match of the day and lost to the Blue Jays 15-13, 15-4, 15-9.

Emily Morris (Canton, PA/Canton) had a team-leading 13 kills and 14 digs for the Blue Jays against Delaware Valley.

Etown returns to action on the road against Commonwealth Conference powerhouse Juniata Tuesday, October 10. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
