ROBERTS WESLEYAN WINS ETOWN HALLOWEEN CLASSIC TOURNAMENT, ETOWN FALLS IN TWO

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA --- Roberts Wesleyan captured the Elizabethtown Halloween Classic volleyball tournament championship with a pair of wins over Gettysburg and Moravian Saturday to finish the tournament 4-0. Elizabethtown fell 3-0 in a pair of matches to Susquehanna and Western Maryland to finish the tournament 0-4 and fall to 11-19 on the season.

Other big winners in Saturday's competition included Western Maryland, which defeated Susquehanna 3-2 besides defeating Elizabethtown 3-0, and Franklin and Marshall, which defeated Salisbury State 3-0 and Allegheny 3-1. Western Maryland finished the tournament 2-2 and F&M finished 3-1.

The all-tournament team included Heather Denk and Kim Shelton of Roberts Wesleyan, Kim Zipf (Wyomissing, PA/Holy Name) and Amy Lawrence (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic) of Moravian, and Megan Wargo (New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) and Lisa Kamin (Glen Mills, PA/Penncrest) of Gettysburg.

Etown returns to action on the road for the final match of the season Monday against Villa Jule. Match time is 6:30 p.m.
