Dickinson Edges Etown, 3-2

CARLISLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 2-4 on the season with a close 3-2 road loss to Dickinson (4-3) Saturday. Dickinson won the first game 30-21, but Etown came back to take a 2-1 lead by winning the next two, 30-27 and 30-26. Dickinson tied the match with a 30-13 win in the fourth game, and the Blue Jays lost the fifth game 16-14.

Dawn Johns (Baltimore, MD/Lansdowne) and Emily Morris (Canton, PA/Canton) led Etown with 13 kills each. Morris also posted a team-high 23 digs. Ashley Wade (Duncansville, PA/Hollidaysburg) had five solo blocks and assisted on five blocks for Elizabethtown.

The Blue Jays return to action Tuesday, September 11 for their home and Commonwealth Conference opener against Lebanon Valley. The match begins at 7:00 p.m.
