Etown Blows out Dickinson, 3-0, to Improve to 2-2 in 2002

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown swept Dickinson in three games, 30-28, 30-8, 30-21, at home Saturday to improve to 2-2 overall in 2002.

The Blue Jays at one point held a 17-2 lead in the second game behind the serving of Meghan Gowens (Pensacola, FL/B.T. Washington), who had seven aces in the second game alone and totaled eight service aces for the match, tying her for second place for the most ever in a match in Etown history.

Emily Morris (Canton, PA/Canton) led Elizabethtown with 12 kills. Gowens led the team with 10 digs, and Morris and Jamie Hudzik (Pittsburgh, PA/Seton-LaSalle) each had eight digs.

Etown will return to action Wednesday, September 11 at home against McDaniel College, formerly known as Western Maryland College. Start time is 7:00 p.m.
