ETOWN DEFEATS LEBANON VALLEY, 68-61, TO WIN FIRST COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE GAME OF SEASON

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA --- With a 68-61 win over Lebanon Valley in their home opener, the Blue Jays began the Commonwealth Conference season 1-0. With the win, Elizabethtown improved to 3-1 overall, while Lebanon Valley fell to 2-2.

Lebanon Valley led the game throughouth the entire first half and through much of the second half, but Elizabethtown pulled ahead in the game's final minutes. Abbie Fabian (Denver, PA/Cocalico) led Etown with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Carmen Chiles (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Mennonite) also had 12 rebounds and scored 20 points. Stephanie Scinto (Westwood, NJ/Immaculate Heart Acad.) went 9-for-11 from the foul line en route to scoring 12 points, many of which came in the game's closing minutes.

Etown returns to action at home Saturday, December 2 against Albright. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
