Etown Ends Losing Streak With 63-42 Win Over Albright

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown snapped a five game losing streak and improved to 4-11 overall and 2-4 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 63-42 win over Albright in Thompson Gynmasium Saturday. Albright falls to 5-11 overall and 1-5 in the conference with the loss.

Elizabethtown entered halftime with a 30-28 lead, and then blew out Albright 33-14 in the second half. Leading the way for the Blue Jays was Cherrissa McCoy (Trevose, PA/Bensalem) with 15 points and seven assists. McCoy also had six rebounds. Stephanie Scinto (Westwood, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) had 14 points, and Jessica Smith (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Tameka Jackson (Philadelphia, PA/J.W. Hallahan) led Etown with 12 rebounds, and Jennifer Roberts (Eagleville, PA/Methaction) had 10 rebounds. Etown out-rebounded the Lions 54-48, and out-shot Albright 76-60.

Anne Dougherty led Albright with 13 points, and Lauren Finnigan had nine rebounds for the Lions.

Etown returns to action on the road against York Monday, January 21. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
