ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Commonwealth Conference Rival Moravian Defeats Elizabethtown, 62-53 BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown lost its fifth straight game Wednesday, falling on the road to Commonwealth Conference rival Moravian 62-53. The Blue Jays drop to 3-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference with the loss, while Moravian improves to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference. The first half saw at total of only 42 points scored between both teams, as Moravian carried a 23-19 lead into halftime. Etown shot 31.0% (9-for-29) from the field in the first half, while Moravian shot just 26.7% (8-for-30) in the first half. Both teams shot substantially better in the second half, with Etown shooting 44.1% (15-for-34) and Moravian going 44.4% (16-for-36). Both teams made 24 total shots from the field, and Etown out-rebounded Moravian 43-38. Moravian, however, went 4-for-11 (36.4%) from three point range, while Etown shot 1-for-6 (16.7%) from downtown. Moravian also made all 10 of its free throw attempts, while Elizabethtown got only four free throws and converted all of them. Jessica Hollinshead (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) led Elizabethtown in scoring with 16 points, and she pulled down seven rebounds. Christina Buso (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) came off the Etown bench to score 12 points and grab seven rebounds. Cristin Braun (Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) led Elizabethtown with nine rebounds, and she scored four points. Kim Hughes led Moravian with 13 points, while Kelly McLean led the Greyhounds with nine rebounds while scoring 12 points.
