Etown Falls to Conference Rival Lebanon Valley, 73-42

ANNVILLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown's losing streak stretched to seven games Tuesday night as the Blue Jays lost, 73-42, on the road to Commonwealth Conference rival Lebanon Valley. Etown drops to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in the conference with the loss, while Lebanon Valley improves to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Lebanon Valley vaulted out to 35-19 lead by halftime as Etown shot eight-for-25 (32.0%) from the field in the first half. Etown's shooting dropped to 21.9% (seven-for-32) in the second half, and the Blue Jays made just three out of 16 three-point attempts and nine out of 17 free throws.

Freshman Christina Buso (Red Hook, NY/Red Hook) came off the bench to lead Etown in scoring with nine points in just 14 minutes played. She shot three-for-four from the field and three-for-three from the free throw line. Classmate Cristin Braun (Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) led Elizabethtown with 11 rebounds, and she also led the team with four assists. She also scored six points.

Erin Eaby came off the bench to lead Lebanon Valley in scoring with 15 points.

For the second game in a row, the Blue Jays were forced to start three freshmen due to injuries.

Elizabethtown will return to action as host of Randolph-Macon (Va.) Thursday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m.
