Etown Falls to Conference Rival Susquehanna, 70-52

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown fell to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 70-52 road loss Saturday. Susquehanna improved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference with the win.

Elizabethtown shot just 21.4% from the field and 14.3% from three-point range, while Susquehanna shot 42.0% from the field and 12.5% from downtown. Susquehanna also out-rebounded Etown 54-43, but Elizabethtown held a 14-9 advantage in steals, and had 18 turnovers against 23 for Susquehanna. The Blue Jays out-shot Susquehanna 70-50 and pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.

Jessica Hollinshead (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) was Elizabethtown's only double-digit scorer with 10 points, and she also led the team with three steals and pulled down seven rebounds.

Courtney Sokol and Maggie Endler both led Susquehanna with 13 points each.

Elizabethtown will return to action in Daytona, Florida Sunday December 29, facing the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the Land of Magic Classic. Tip-off is at 11:00 a.m.
