ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Etown Falls to 21st-Ranked Lebanon Valley, 64-53 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown pulled to within six points of nationally 21st-ranked Lebanon Valley with just over three minutes left in the game, but ultimately fell 64-53 to the Flying Dutchmen. It was Etown's third consecutive loss and drops the Blue Jays to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in the Commonwealth Conference, while Lebanon Valley improves to 14-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference. Etown pulled out to a 21-15 lead in the opening 11 minutes of the game, but Lebanon Valley went on 14-1 run to take a 29-22 lead with 2:57 remaining in the first half. By halftime, Lebanon Valley's lead stood at 30-27. Lebanon Valley went up by as many as 15 points twice in the second half but could never put the Blue Jays completely out of reach. The Flying Dutchmen committed 21 turnovers against 13 for Elizabethtown, but LVC held a firm advantage in shooting, going 25-for-52 (48.1%) from the field, while Etown shot just 19-for-66 (28.8%) from the field over the course of the game. Cristin Braun (Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) scored 13 points and had three steals to lead the Blue Jays in both categories, and she was the team's only double-digit scorer for the day. Jen Roberts (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) led Etown in rebounds with seven. Jennifer Northcott (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) led Lebanon Valley in points with 13 and in rebounds with nine, and Erin Eaby (Ephrata, PA/Ephrata) added 10 points for the Flying Dutchmen.
