Moravian Upends Etown, 76-52

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 9-7 overall and 3-4 in the Commonwealth Conference while suffering its fourth straight loss, 76-52 at the hands of Moravian at home Wednesday night. The visiting Greyhounds improved to 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference with the win.

Elizabethtown out-rebounded Moravian 48-41 and out-shot Moravian 77-59 from the field, and both teams had 22 turnovers in the game. Moravian, however shot 31-for-59 (52.5%) from the field, while the Blue Jays made 21 of 77 attempts from the field (27.3%). Etown also shot one-for-13 (7.7%) from three-point range, while Moravian made just one of 10 attempts from downtown.

Jessica Hollinshead (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) was Etown's leading scorer with 18 points, and she also led the team in rebounds with 10 and blocked shots with three. Jen Roberts (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) added 10 points for the Blue Jays on four-for-four shooting from the field and a two-for-three performance from the free throw line.

Stephanie Seaman (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) was Moravian's leading scorer and rebounder with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Etown will return to action on the road Saturday, January 31 on the road against Albright at 6:00 p.m. as the second half of the Commonwealth Conference season begins.
