Elizabethtown Goes 2-0 in Virgin Islands, Climbs to .500

ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. --- Elizabethtown improved to 5-5 overall in 2005-06 with a pair of wins in the Sunsational Hoops Classic at the University of the Virgin Islands Monday and Tuesday.

The Blue Jays defeated host UVI 57-35 Monday. Etown held a 25-20 advantage at halftime of that game. Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) was Etown's top scorer with 26 points, and Dana Voit (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) was Etown's next leading scorer with eight points.

Elizabethtown defeated St. Mary's College (Md.) 73-56 Tuesday after leading 32-25 at the half. Walton again led Etown in scoring with 23 points, Voit added 15 points, and Claire Davis (Havertown, PA/Merion Mercy Academy) was third on the team in scoring with eight points.
