Lebanon Valley Defeats Elizabethtown 81-72

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown fell for its second game in a row at home Saturday as the Blue Jays lost 81-72 to Commonwealth Conference rival Lebanon Valley. The Blue Jays are now 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference, while Lebanon Valley improves to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference with the win.

Lebanon Valley held a 45-34 edge in rebounding over the game, and the Flying Dutchmen shot 19-for-25 (78.9%) from the free throw line, while Elizabethtown converted 14 of 24 (58.3%) free throw attempts.

Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) was Etown’s top scorer with 23 pionts, and she tied for the team lead in rebounds with six and for the lead in steals with three. Dana Voit (Jefferson Hills, PA/Thomas Jefferson) added 19 points and also had six rebounds for Etown, and Cristin Braun (Exton, PA/Bishop Shanahan) scored 15 points, had three steals, pulled down five rebounds and led Etown in assists with five.

Allie Butler (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) led LVC in scoring with 26 points off 9-for-12 shooting from the field, a 2-for-3 performance from behind the arc, and 6-for-8 shooting from the free throw line. She also led Lebanon Valley in assists with six and in steals with five. Megan Bish (Littlestown, PA/Littlestown) scored 20 points and had 13 rebounds to lead the Flying Dutchmen, and Monica Johnston (Baltimore, MD/Randallstown) added 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Tuesday, January 17 against conference rival Susquehanna University in a 7:00 p.m. game.
