Elizabethtown Falls to King’s 61-48 on Final Day of Marymount Tip-Off Classic

ARLINGTON, Va. --- Elizabethtown wrapped up its season-opening trip to the Marymount University Tip-Off Classic with an 0-3 record following a 61-48 loss to King’s College (Pa.) Sunday. King’s improved to 1-2 overall with the win.

Etown sophomore Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) was named to the All-Tournament team Sunday after scoring more than 20 points for the third game in a row. This time, she led Etown with 22 points against King’s as she shot 7-for-21 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free throw line. She also led Etown in steals with six. Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) led the Blue Jays in rebounds with 12 while scoring four points, and Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) added eight rebounds and four points for Etown.

Beth Jordan paced King’s with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Andrea Hochstuhl added 11 rebounds and nine points. Kaitlyn Fiorino scored 12 points on four three-pointers for King’s.

Etown will return to action on the road Tuesday, November 29 in its Commonwealth Conference opener against Messiah College at 7:30 p.m.
