Albright Downs Elizabethtown 58-38

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College dropped to 7-5 overall and 1-3 in the Commonwealth Conference with a 58-38 home loss to Albright College Saturday afternoon. The visiting Lions improved to 10-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference with the win.

Albright held a 23-16 lead at halftime, and by the time 5:59 was left in the game, the Lions had extended their lead to 56-26. Elizabethtown went on a 12-2 run for the remainder of the game to make the final score 58-38.

Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) was Elizabethtown’s top scorer with 10 points, and she pulled down five rebounds. Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) led Elizabethtown in rebounds with 10 and scored nine points.

Marie Levins (Langhorne, PA/Villa Joseph Marie) and Jacqueline Hardwick (Dallas, PA/Dallas) were Albright’s top scorers with 11 points apiece, with the pair grabbing six and eight rebounds, respectively. Levins also led all players in assists with six.. Meredith Berger (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) led Albright in rebounds with 10 and in blocked shots with four, and she scored four points.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road Wednesday, January 17 against Commonwealth Conference rival Juniata College in a 7:00 p.m. game.
