ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Elizabethtown Falls 79-65 to Immaculata ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- A second half rally sparked Immaculata University to a 79-65 victory over Elizabethtown College at Etown’s Thompson Gymnasium Tuesday night. The host Blue Jays drop to 2-1 overall with the loss, while Immaculata improves to 2-1. Elizabethtown controlled much of the first half and carried a 45-36 lead into halftime. Immaculata began the second half with a 20-7 run over the first 8:24 to take the lead. Etown shot 50% (18-for-36) from the field in the first half, but the Blue Jays shot just 23.5% (8-for-34) from the field in the second half. Immaculata, by contrast, was able to shoot 57.6% (19-for-33) from the field in the second half after shooting 40.6% (13-for- 32) in the first. Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) led Elizabethtown in scoring with 21 points, 17 of which came during the first half. Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) led the Blue Jays in rebounds with 15, a career best for her, and she scored 10 points. Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) scored 12 points from off the bench for Etown, and Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) pulled down 11 rebounds for the Blue Jays. Mary Kate Pawlowski (Exton, PA/Downingtown) led Immaculata in scoring with 19 points, and she grabbed nine rebounds. Meg Legere (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Catholic) added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Mighty Macs, and Jess Dantzler-Henry (Alexandria, VA/T.C. Williams) scored 13 points, pulled down seven rebounds, and tied for the Immaculata lead in assists with seven. Kasey Hicks (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) had seven assists as well. Nina Cammarano (Reading, PA/Holy Name) scored 12 points for Immaculata, and Dominique Murray (Wilmington, DE/Padua Academy) led Immaculata in rebounds with 13 and blocked shots with four while scoring nine points.
