ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Elizabethtown Defeats Lycoming 77-71 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Elizabethtown improved to 3-1 overall for the first time since 2000-01 with a 77-71 road win over Lycoming College Sunday evening. The win was the 896th in the history of the program, placing the Blue Jays four away from becoming the first NCAA Division III women’s basketball program ever to reach the 900 all-time victory mark. Elizabethtown trailed Lycoming 35-32 at halftime as the Blue Jays shot 36.7% (11-for-30) in the first half and 50% (14-for-28) from the fiel in the second half. Elizabethtown shot 81.3% (26-for-32) from the free throw line over the course of the game, including a 17-for-21 performance from the line in the second half. Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Co.) led Etown in scoring with 31 points, and she hit all 12 of her free throws. Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) led Etown in rebounds with 11 and scored seven points. Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Elizabethtown, and Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) scored 12 points from off the bench. Andrea Cooper led Lycoming with 26 points, and Rebecca Leid had a team-high total of 11 rebounds with 11 points. Jessica Nabholz added 14 points and five rebounds from off the bench for the Warriors.
