ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Erin Walton Scores Game-High 22 Points to Lead Elizabethtown Past Haverford, 72-47 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County) surpassed the 1,500-point milestone by scoring a game-high 22 points as Elizabethtown College downed Haverford College 72-47 in non-conference women's basketball action at Thompson Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Junior Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) added 12 points and six rebounds and senior Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) notched 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for the Blue Jays (8-4 overall), who outrebounded the Fords (3-8 overall) by a 55-35 margin. Walton, who also grabbed nine rebounds, became the fourth player in program history to score 1,500 points on a basket with 11:01 left in the second half. She finished the game with 1,502 career points, just one shy of tying Abbie Fabian '01 for third place at 1,503 points. Sara Cram led Haverford with 19 points while Brittany Lattisaw added 10 points, five rebounds and four steals in 22 minutes off the Ford bench. Elizabethtown led 30-20 at halftime behind 12 points from Walton, while Cram paced the Fords with 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting. Haverford pulled within four points at 42-38 with 12:21 to go, but Elizabethtown went on a 16-2 run to take a 58-40 lead on a layup by senior Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) with 6:51 remaining. Reid finished with four points, but added nine rebounds and a career-high five steals for the Blue Jays, while sophomore Courtney Kofeldt (Coatesville, PA/Holy Spirit, NJ) came off the bench to drill three three-pointers and finish with nine points. Also off the Blue Jay bench, first-year student Kaity Snyder (Catawissa, PA/Southern Columbia) tallied eight points and three rebounds in just nine minutes of action.
