ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Blue Jays Dropped by College of New Jersey, 72-64 EWING, N.J. --- Hillary Klimowicz scored 20 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to lead The College of New Jersey to a 72-64 victory over Elizabethtown College in non-conference women's basketball action on Monday night. Klimowicz gave the Lions (11-3 overall) the lead for good on a foul shot with 5:10 to play, sparking a 12-0 run that turned a 56-56 tie into a 68-56 TCNJ lead over the next three minutes. Junior Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) led the Blue Jays (8-5 overall) with 20 points, while senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County) tallied 13 points to move into third place on the Elizabethtown career scoring list with 1,515 points, surpassing the 1,503 points scored by Abbie Fabian '01. In all, four players reached double figures for the Lions, as Alyssa Michella added 15 points and six rebounds while Sara Best and Kelsey Kutch contributed 12 points apiece. TCNJ shot 44.3 percent (27-for-61) from the field as a team while holding Elizabethtown to 31.7 percent (20-for-63) in the contest. Sophomore Courtney Kofeldt (Coatesville, PA/Holy Spirit, NJ) came off the bench to added 11 points, including three three-pointers, in 17 minutes of playing time for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays forced the eighth and final tie of the game at 56-56 following a basket by Walton with 5:20 to go, but Klimowicz's foul shot with 5:10 to go keyed a 12-0 run that was capped by a layup by Alexandra Gregorek with 2:31 to go. TCNJ had jumped to an early 16-6 lead, but Elizabethtown fought back to within a point at 16-15 on back-to-back three-pointers by Quinn and a trey by junior Megan Romano (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) with 11:00 left in the first half. Quinn led the Blue Jays with 11 points in the first half, while Kutch paced the Lions with 10 points as TCNJ held a 34-33 advantage at intermission. Elizabethtown led by as many as four points on three occasions in the second half, the final time at 52-48 on a foul shot by first-year student Kaity Snyder (Catawissa, PA/Southern Columbia) with 9:28 remaining. TCNJ finished with a 46-37 edge in rebounding over Elizabethtown, which saw seniors Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) and Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) share the team lead with nine rebounds.
