Blue Jays Fall to Albright 64-49

READING, Pa. --- Bre Dillon finished with 15 points and a game-high nine assists as Albright College held Elizabethtown College to 25.4 percent shooting in a 64-49 Commonwealth Conference victory in women's basketball action on Wednesday night.

Staci Waligorski added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Lions (15-3 overall, 3-0 Commonwealth), who led by as many as 22 points en route to their sixth consecutive win.

Senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County) led the Blue Jays (9-9 overall, 0-3 Commonwealth) with 12 points, but Elizabethtown shot just 18-for-71 from the field as a team and dropped its fourth straight contest.

Albright trailed 1-0 after one minute of action, but went on a 15-2 run to take a 15-3 lead with 13:03 left in the first half. The Lions led by as many as 17 points en route to a 36-23 halftime lead, with Jacqueline Hardwick leading Albright with 10 points and five rebounds.

In the second half, Elizabethtown would get no closer than 14 points, with Albright taking its largest lead of the game at 59-37 with 6:26 to go.

Hardwick finished with 12 points and eight rebounds for the Lions, who shot 40.0 percent (28-for-70) from the field as a team.

Senior Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona) came off the Blue Jay bench to finish with eight points and a team-high 10 rebounds, as Elizabethtown finished with a 50-48 edge on the glass over Albright.
