Lebanon Valley Runs Past Elizabethtown, 76-68

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- First-year students Lori Lidlow, Suzie Noyes and Andrea Hoover combined for 52 points as Lebanon Valley College came up with a 76-68 victory at Elizabethtown College in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.

Lidlow tallied a game-high 21 points while Noyes added 17 points and nine rebounds and Hoover chipped in with 14 points and five assists for the Flying Dutchmen (16-2 overall, 2-2 Commonwealth), who used a 15-2 run spanning the first and second halves to take command.

The Blue Jays (9-10 overall, 0-4 Commonwealth) placed four players in double figures, led by 16 points and seven rebounds from senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County) and 11 points and 18 rebounds from senior Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona).

Elizabethtown held a 24-21 lead with 2:36 to go in the first half, but Lebanon Valley scored the final 10 points to head to the locker room with a 31-24 advantage. Noyes led all players with 12 points and eight rebounds in the first half.

The Dutchmen built their lead to 45-29 with 14:18 remaining on a three-pointer by Eryn Schultz, and took their biggest lead at 58-40 on a basket by Noyes with 8:54 to go. The Blue Jays would get no closer than the eight-point margin of victory the rest of the way.

Junior Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) tallied 12 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Jays, while junior Jenn Montague (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) added 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.

Elizabethtown finished with a commanding 48-35 edge in rebounding, including 23 offensive boards. The 18 rebounds by Hitz were a season high and one shy of her career best of 19 boards set against Widener last season.
