ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Albright Downs Elizabethtown, 82-70 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Annie McMahon tied her career high with 28 points and added eight rebounds, five assists and six steals as Albright College defeated Elizabethtown College 82-70 in Commonwealth Conference women's basketball action on Wednesday night. Jessica McGinness added 15 points for the Lions (18-4 overall, 6-1 Commonwealth), who went 6-for-7 from three-point range in the second half as a team to claim the victory over the Blue Jays (10-12 overall, 1-6 Commonwealth). The Blue Jays placed four players in double figures, led by 19 points from junior Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) and 17 points by senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County). Junior Jenn Montague (Newark, DE/St. Mark's) added 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while sophomore Courtney Kofeldt (Coatesville, PA/Holy Spirit, NJ) tallied 10 points in 16 minutes off the Blue Jay bench. Albright used a 7-0 run to open the second half and turn a 32-31 lead into a 39-31 advantage with 18;34 to play. The Lions would expand their edge to as many as 16 points on two occasions before the Blue Jays pulled within 74-66 with 3:11 to go. The Lions put the game away at the foul line, going 7-for-8 at the stripe in the final 1:45 while holding the Blue Jays to one field goal in the last three minutes. McMahon scored a game-high 17 points in the opening half as Albright took a 32-31 lead to intermission. Quinn paced the Blue Jays with 12 points, including three three-pointers, while Montague added six points and a game-high seven rebounds. Both teams finished with 40 rebounds in the contest, with Staci Waligorski pacing the Lions with 10 boards to go with eight points.
