ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Record-Setting Shooting Lifts Elizabethtown to 82-75 Win over Lycoming ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Senior Erin Walton (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington County) set a school record with seven three-pointers as Elizabethtown College connected on a program-record 14 threes in an 82-75 victory over Lycoming College in commonwealth Conference women's basketball action on Tuesday night. Walton went 7-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with a game-high 28 points as the Blue Jays (11-13 overall, 2-7 Commonwealth) remain alive for the fourth and final playoff spot in the conference. Elizabethtown will play at Widener on Saturday afternoon, with the winner gaining the berth. Junior Megan Quinn (Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) added four three-pointers and finished with 16 points for the Blue Jays, who went 14-for-19 as a team from three-point range to break the previous single-game mark of 11 set during the 2001-02 season. Allison Mock led the Warriors (10-13 overall, 1-8 Commonwealth) with 16 points off the bench, including four three-pointers, as Lycoming went 10-for-21 from three-point range as a team but shot just 43.5 percent (30-for-69) overall in the game. After trailing for the entire contest, the Warriors took their first lead at 49-47 on a layup by Jessica Zerbee with 14:07 to play, part of an 8-0 Lycoming run that gave the Warriors a 51-47 lead with 13:44 left. From there, the Blue Jays went on a 17-2 run capped by a three-pointer from Walton with 7:50 remaining that gave Elizabethtown a 64-53 advantage. Lycoming would close to within four points on two occasions, but Elizabethtown put the game away as Walton hit three foul shots in the final 28 seconds. Also reaching double figures for the Blue Jays were junior Jenn Montague (Newark, DE/St. Mark's), who came off the bench to net 13 points and grab five rebounds, and senior Audrey Hitz (Lebanon, PA/Annville-Cleona), who registered a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Sophomore Ashley Toczylowski (Dupont, PA/Wyoming Seminary) dished out a career-high 10 assists for the Blue Jays and added five points, as the Blue Jays recorded 23 assists on 29 field goals as a team. Zerbee tallied 14 points and eight assists for the Warriors, while Andrea Cooper finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots and Rebecca Leid added 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
