FABIAN SCORES CAREER-HIGH 28 POINTS TO LEAD ETOWN PAST ALBRIGHT, 85-46; STANCIL, BOBACK ALSO HIT DOUBLE DIGITS IN VICTORY

READING, Pa --- Abbie Fabian scored 23 of her career-high 28 points in the first half to lead Elizabethtown past Albright, 85-46, in MAC Commonwealth League action on Saturday.  With the win, the Blue Jays improved to 20-2 (12-0 MAC Commonwealth League) on the season and posted the program's 13th 20-win season in its 71-year history.

Shauntae Stancil scored 15 points and Kim Boback added 14 as Etown posted its largest victory margin (39) of the season.  Since a 70-58 loss to Scranton last Saturday, the Blue Jays have won their last three games by an average margin of 26.3 points.

Fabian shot 11-for-12 from the floor in the first half and finished the game with a 13-for-15 (86.6 percent) performance.  She also pulled down a team-best 12 rebounds and swiped a team-high five steals.

Charlene Stinsman led Albright (5-16, 2-10 MAC Commonwealth League) with 19 points and seven rebounds while teammate Rachel Connolly added 13 points in the losing effort.

Etown, currently first in the conference and sixth in Division III in team field-goal percentage, shot 20-for-31 (64.5 percent) from the floor in the first half and finished with a 34-for-55 (61.8 percent) effort for the game.

The Blue Jays, ranked second in the Mid-Atlantic region and 15th in Division III, return to action on Wednesday, February 17 at home against Juniata College.  Game time is 7 p.m.
