MARYMOUNT STOPS ETOWN, 81-72, IN FINALS OF TIPOFF CLASSIC; STANCIL, FABIAN NAMED ALL-TOURNAMENT

ARLINGTON, Va. --- Shannon Masson and Loree Bradee scored 16 points apiece to lead Marymount to an 81-72 victory over Elizabethtown in the championship game of the Pizza Hut Tipoff Classic at Marymount on Sunday.  With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 2-1 on the season.

Carmen Chiles led all players with a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds for Etown while Kim Boback added 16 points and Shauntae Stancil collected 12 points and a team-best 11 boards.  Both Stancil and Abbie Fabian were named to the 10-player, all-Tournament team.

The game turned at the free throw line, where the Blue Jays shot just 6-for-18 (33.3 percent) for the game.  At the other end, Etown committed 30 fouls which led to a 31-for-39 performance at the charity stripe for Marymount (3-0).

The Blue Jays return to action on Tuesday, December 1 at Messiah College.  Game time is 7 p.m.
