BLUE JAYS DEFEAT MUHLENBERG, 69-56

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- After jumping out to a lead that grew as large as 19 points in the first half, Elizabethtown defeated Muhlenberg by a final score of 69-56 in Allentown Monday for its eleventh consecutive win.

Etown (15-2) built its lead up to 21 points mid-way through the second half, but Muhlenberg (11-7) cut the lead to eight points with two minutes remaining. Etown held the Mules scoreless in the final two minutes to win by a 13 point margin in the non-conference game.

Abbie Fabian (Denver, PA/Cocalico) led the Etown offense with 20 points to increase her career point total to 971, 29 points away from the 1,000 career point milestone. She also had a team-high two blocked shots and three steals. Whitney Bull (Berwick, PA/Berwick) scored 18 points and pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds. Carmen Chiles (Lancaster, PA/Lancaster Mennonite) scored 14 points and Jamie Porter (Glenolden, PA/Merion Mercy Academy) had nine rebounds.

Jenn Risley (Allentown, PA/Parkland) led Muhlenberg with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Etown returns to action on the road against Messiah Wednesday, February 2. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
