College of Notre Dame Staves off Second Half Etown Comeback to Win 13-10

BALTIMORE, Md. --- A second half comeback bid did not make up enough ground to cover a first half deficit for the Blue Jays as the College of Notre Dame of Maryland survived Etown's late upset attempt and pulled out a 13-10 win.

Etown (0-2) fell behind 9-3 in the first half but outscored Notre Dame 7-4 in the second half. Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) led Etown in scoring with three goals, and Fretz and Jen Manns (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) each led the Blue Jays with two assists.

Kim Fegley (Wescosville, PA/Emmaus) made 12 saves in the net for Etown.

Elizabethtown returns to action on the road Saturday, March 16 against Muhlenberg. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
