ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Etown Falls to MAC Rival Susquehanna, 15-9

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown saw its two-game winning streak snapped as Middle Atlantic Conference rival Susquehanna defeated the Blue Jays 15-9 Tuesday. It was also Etown's first loss ever at home, as the Blue Jays fell to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the conference. Susquehanna improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference with the win.

Etown jumped out to an early 3-1 lead, but after that point Susquehanna controlled the game's tempo, taking a 6-4 lead into halftime and outscoring Etown 9-5 in the second half.

Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) led Elizabethtown with four goals scored. Jen Manns (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) scored two goals and had one assist, and Molly Walker (Columbia, MD/Glenela Country School) led the Blue Jays with three assists, giving her 18 assists in seven games this year and 12 in her last three games.

Also scoring single goals for Etown were Samantha Benton (Newtown Square, PA/Penncrest), Ally Edel (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) and Stephanie Boyle (Folsom, PA/Ridley).

Krista O'Brien (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) led Susquehanna in scoring with five goals.

Elizabethtown returns to action on the road Saturday, April 6 against Middle Atlantic Conference rival FDU-Madison. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
