Etown Halts Skid with 19-5 Thrashing of MAC Rival FDU-Florham, Blue Jays Tie Program Win Mark

MADISON, N.J. --- Elizabethtown snapped a three game losing streak by downing Middle Atlantic Conference rival FDU-Florham (formerly FDU-Madison) on the road Saturday, 19-5. The Blue Jays improve to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the MAC with the win, while FDU-Florham drops to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in the conference.

By winning their fourth game in 2003, the Blue Jays have already tied their mark for most wins in a season set in their inaugural campaign last year. Etown's 2003 season is just under halfway complete, with seven of 15 games played.

The Blue Jays took a 10-1 lead by halftime, and Ally Edel (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) led the Blue Jays in points with seven by scoring three goals and distributing a team-high of four assists. Jen Manns (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) scored four goals and notched two assists for the Blue Jays for six points. Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) also scored four goals for Etown, and she added one assist for five points.

Etown will return to action at home Saturday, April 12 against MAC opponent King's in a 12:00 p.m. game.
