Etown Sets Season Win Marks with 12-8 Victory over Moravian

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown came back to win a 12-8 Middle Atlantic Conference game at home Saturday over Moravian to improve to 6-9 overall and 5-5 in the MAC. With the win, Etown, in its third season of existence, set program records for most wins in a season overall and most conference wins in a season. The Blue Jays also finished their MAC schedule with a .500 record in the conference for the first time.

Etown fell behind 6-2 to Moravian (2-11, 1-9) in the first 16 minutes of the game and trailed 6-5 going into halftime. Etown tied the score 7-7 on an Odessa Armstrong (Pasadena, MD/Northeast) goal with 20:06 left in the game and took an 8-7 lead, its first lead of the game, when Sarah Scholl (Forest Hill, MD/John Carroll) scored with 15:51 left to play. Moravian tied the score at 8-8 with 10:30 left in the game, but Etown struck back with four unanswered goals in the game's final ten minutes.

Armstrong and Jen Manns (Wilmington, DE/Brandywine) were Etown's top goal scorers with three each.

Etown will return to action on the road Monday, April 26 in a 7:00 p.m. non-conference game against Muhlenberg.
