Montclair State Downs Etown 18-7

UPPER MONTCLAIR, N.J. --- Elizabethtown dropped to 0-2 in 2005 with an 18-7 road loss Saturday to Montclair State University (2-0). Montclair State held an 8-3 lead at halftime.

Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) led Etown in scoring by tallying four of the Blue Jays' seven goals. Danielle Grooms (Frederick, MD/Gov. Thomas Johnson), Michelle Collier (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh) and Dana White (Freeland, MD/Hereford) each added single goals for Etown.

Nicole LaRocca led Montclair State in scoring with five goals, and Shauna Brocklebank had four assists and two goals.

Elizabethtown will return to action on the road in its Middle Atlantic Conference opener Saturday, March 19 against FDU-Florham at 11:00 a.m.
