Blue Jays Defeat Lycoming 17-12

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Junior Katie Foley (Palmyra, NJ/Holy Cross) finished with seven goals as Elizabethtown College defeated Lycoming College 17-12 in a Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse showdown on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore Megan Byrnes (Lutherville, MD/Towson) chipped in with three goals for the Blue Jays (6-4 overall, 3-1 MAC), who scored 10 second-half goals to pick up the victory over the Warriors (7-5 overall, 3-1 MAC).

Junior Kelsea Kozak (Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley) finished with two goals and three assists for the Blue Jays, while first-year student Meg Cassels (Downingtown, PA/Great Valley) and sophomore Stephanie Kreis (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll School) posted two goals apiece.

Lycoming was led by four goals from Megan Wallenhorst and three goals by Megan McIntyre.

Junior Jenn Hawkins (Havre de Grace, MD/Havre de Grace) tallied 13 saves in goal for the Blue Jays, while Kristina Peacock finished with six saves for the Warriors and Brittany Bryan added four stops.
