ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WOMEN'S LACROSSE Etown Routs King's 20-4 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Junior Katie Foley (Palmyra, NJ/Holy Cross) scored a game-high six goals and added two assists to lead Elizabethtown College to a 20-4 win over King's College in Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Stephanie Kreis (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll School) added three goals and two assists, and junior Kelsea Kozak (Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley) scored three goals and dished out an assist for the Blue Jays (7-4 overall, 4-1 MAC), who won their third straight match by outshooting the Lady Monarchs (2-8 overall, 1-3 MAC) by a 48-10 margin. The Blue Jays scored the first four goals of the match - all off the stick of Foley - and held an 11-1 lead at halftime. Over a span of 43 minutes, 30 seconds spanning the halves, Elizabethtown outscored King's by a 15-0 margin. Sophomore Megan Byrnes (Lutherville, MD/Towson) tallied two goals and three assists, sophomore Alisha Sangrey (Columbia, PA/Hempfield) finished with two goals, and adding one goal each were junior Danielle Schaffer (Marmora, NJ/Ocean City) and first-year students Meg Cassels (Downingtown, PA/Great Valley), Sarah Behounek (Street, MD/North Harford) and Sarah Cullinan (West Chester, PA/East). First-year student Ashley Mogle (Leola, PA/Conestoga Valley) dished out three assists for the Blue Jays to tie Byrnes for the team high in the match. Defensively, junior Dana Simmons (Flourtown, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) had a strong effort for the Blue Jays with five ground balls and six caused turnovers. Senior Amanda Reid (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) added three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Four different players scored one goal each for the Lady Monarchs, who committed 33 turnovers as a team. Junior Jenn Hawkins (Havre de Grace, MD/Havre de Grace) made four saves in the first half for the Blue Jays, while sophomore Becca Watkins (Herndon, VA/Westfield) made one second-half stop.
