ETOWN FINISHES 9th AT ITHACA TOURNAMENT

ITHACA, N.Y. --- After two days of competition, Elizabethtown finished ninth out of 17 team at the Ithaca Invitational Saturday with 66 points, knocking off schools such as the Rochester Institute of Technology, Gettysburg College and the Coast Guard Academy.

Tournament placewinners for the Blue Jays included Art Mattes (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic), who placed second at 197 lbs., and Josh Boyer (Hanover, PA/Delone Catholic), who finished second in the heavyweight class.

Etown returns to action for its home opener Wednesday, November 15 against Gettysburg. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
