ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WRESTLING Eric Guise Finishes Fourth in Conference at 184 Pounds As Etown Places Eighth at MAC Championships WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Etown sophomore Eric Guise (Bendersville, PA/Biglerville), in just his first season of wrestling at the collegiate level, finished fourth in the 184-pound weight class at the 2003 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, which were held at King's College Friday and Saturday. Elizabethtown as a whole finished eighth with 34 points. Guise opened the MAC Championships with an injury default win over second-seeded Tim Pentz of Messiah just 1:06 into the bout. Following a loss in the second round to the third seed, Guise needed just 2:58 to pick up a pin against King's Lee Vodofsky and advance to the third place match, where he was pinned by Luke Morris of Delaware Valley, which won the MAC Championships with a score of 148.5. Also winning a bout for Etown was sophomore Joe Sahd (Lititz, PA/Lancaster Catholic) in the 141-pound weight class. He defeated Bryan Wech of Wilkes 7-3. Etown, which is going through a rebuilding season with a small roster, has also been hit hard by injuries and was able to send just five healthy wrestlers to the MAC Championships.
