Etown Competes at King's Invitational

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown took part in the King's Invitational Saturday, and several Blue Jay grapplers posted strong wins for Etown. The Blue Jays finished 13th with 11.5 points.

At 165 pounds, Vinny Camacho (Harrison, NY/Harrison) scored a 16-5 major decision victory over an opponent from Middle Atlantic Conference rival Wilkes. At 174 pounds, Matt Freeborn (Wyalusing, PA/Northeast Bradford) went 3-2 for the day, losing his first bout in a 4-0 decision but bouncing back to take a 5-3 decision, a 16-0 technical fall, and an 8-2 decision against an opponent from MAC rival Messiah before dropping a 5-3 overtime decision.

Etown will return to action in its home opener as the host of MAC opponent Albright in a dual match Wednesday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m.
