ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE WRESTLING View pictures of the invitational here. Etown Competes at Wheaton ( Ill.) Pete Wilson Invitational WHEATON, Ill. --- Elizabethtown sent seven wrestlers to compete at the Wheaton College (Ill.) Pete Wilson Invitational Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4, one of the largest NCAA Division III wrestling invitationals in the country. Winning individual bouts for Etown were first-year students Jereme Heisey (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) at 149 pounds and R.J. Mount (Pine Brook, NJ/Montville Township) at 184 pounds. Heisey won his opening bout of the invitational 7-4 over Jamkie Vaughn of Case Western Reserve University. In the next round, he dropped a 6-3 decision to third-seeded Josh Kallai of Muskingum College, and he bowed out of the tournament on a slim 3-2 loss to Dan Mizener of John Carroll University in the wrestleback. Mount also posted a first-round win, gaining a 9-5 decision victory over Marty Dertz of Knox College. He dropped a 12-6 decision of fifth-seeded Ben Plowman of Ohio Northern University in the second round and lost a 10-5 decision to Chad Craft of Mount St. Joseph in the wrestleback. Elizabethtown will return to action Thursday, February 9 at Centenary College (NJ) in a 6:00 p.m. dual match. View pictures of the invitational here. At Wheaton, Ill. |
