Stevens Tech (NJ) Defeats Elizabethtown 37-6

Peter Achilles '08 won a 3-2 decision at 125 lbs.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College dropped to 2-3 in dual matches when it fell 37-6 at home to Stevens Institute of Technology (1-1) Friday night.

Elizabethtown won a pair of decisions early in the match. At 125 pounds, Peter Achilles (Geneva, NY/Geneva) carried a 2-2 tie into the end of his bout, and his riding time of 1:18 in the match proved the deciding factor, giving him a 3-2 decision over Ian Gorham. At 141 pounds, an escape by Justin Martin (Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) in the final minute gave him a 7-6 victory over Patrick Conrad.

Justin Martin '08 won a 7-6 decision at 141 lbs.

The Blue Jays will return to action on the road Sunday, December 4 in the University of Scranton Invitational at 9:00 a.m.
