Lycoming Defeats Elizabethtown 30-12

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- The Lycoming College wrestling team used four pins to post a 30-12 victory over Elizabethtown College in non-conference action on Thursday night.

The Blue Jays (5-10 overall) won four bouts against the Warriors (9-6 overall), but Lycoming picked up three of its four pins in the first period to gain the win.

After trailing 12-0, the Blue Jays picked up back-to-back wins from sophomore Bud Croswell (Newark, DE/Sanford School), who posted a 7-1 victory over Mike Maurer at 149 pounds, and junior Jereme Heisey (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central), who improved to 21-10 on the season with a 6-4 win over Zach Frederick at 157 pounds.

Also gaining victories were first-year student Bill Meaney (Toms River, NJ/Manchester Twp.) by an 8-6 score over Bryan Kopesky at 184 pounds, and sophomore Mike Daub (Duncannon, PA/Susquenita) by a 9-4 score at 285 pounds over Troy Hansen.
