ETOWN DOWNS ALBRIGHT, 33-12, IN FIRST DUAL MATCH OF SEASON

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated Albright Friday, 33-12, in the Blue Jays' first dual match of the 1999-2000 season.

Bill Van Winkle (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) scored a victory for Etown at 125 pounds on a 17-0 technical fall. Dan Bechtold (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) pinned his opponent at 4:16, and Art Mattes (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Central Catholic) won in a 19-9 decision.

Bill Fretz (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) notched a victory for Albright in the 165 pound weight class when he pinned his opponent at 6:22.

The Blue Jays return to action on the road at Wilkes Saturday, November 20. The squad will also face Lebanon Valley and Messiah there. Match time is 12:00 p.m.
