ETOWN GETS BACK ON TRACK WITH 4-0 BLANKING OF FRANKLIN & MARSHALL

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Nicole Hundley, Kristy Wade  and Christy Callahan all tallied a goal and an assist as Elizabethtown defeated Franklin & Marshall, 4-0, in regional action on Thursday.  With the win - their eighth straight victory over the Diplomats - the Blue Jays improved to 3-1 on the season.

Tanis Neamand netted the game winner for Etown a mere 39 seconds into the contest with assists from Callahan and Toni Stern.

Callahan then made it 2-0, scoring an unassisted goal at the 20:42 mark.

Hundley and Wade took turns setting each other up during a four-minute span of the second half to close out the scoring.  Wade, who set team records for goals (22) and points (56) in a season a year ago, already has seven goals and 17 points in Etown's first four games of 1998.

Goalies Bethann Rumpp and Lisa Blanker combined for seven saves and the Jays' second shutout of the season.  Erika Habersaat recorded 14 saves in the nets for F&M (1-2).

Etown, which is currently ranked 17th in the nation, returns to action on Saturday, September 12 at the University of Scranton.  Game time is 2 p.m.
