ELMIRA TRIPS ETOWN, 3-2, IN FIRST GAME OF MARY WASHINGTON CLASSIC FREDERICKSBURG, Va. --- Kristy Wade scored her 10th and 11th goals of the season, but Elmira reeled off three unanswered scores to down Elizabethtown, 3-2, in the first game of the Mary Washington Classic on Saturday. With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 4-3 on the season. Rachel Luetke also added an assist for Etown, which lost for the first time under coach Barry Dohner when leading at halftime. Since 1994, the Jays are 48-1-1 when ahead at the break. Bethann Rumpp made eight saves in the nets for Etown. Elmira outshot the Blue Jays 17-10 for the game. Etown returns to action on Sunday, September
20 against tournament host Mary Washington College. Game time is
1:30 p.m.
