ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown goaltender Lisa Blanker (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville) made ten saves, but the Blue Jays did not generate the offense needed to match the Lions' lone goal as Elizabethtown fell to the College of New Jersey, 1-0, on the first day of the Blue Jay Classic Saturday.

The Lions (2-0) prevented Elizabethtown (1-1) from taking any shots in the first half.  The Blue Jays opened the second half with a greater offensive impact, but failed to score.  The College of New Jersey, which outshot Elizabethtown 17-4, put the only point on the board with a goal by Melanie Wester with 16:28 left in the game.

In the day's first game, William Smith staged a 2-1 come-from-behind victory to defeat Nazareth.  Nazareth finished the first half with a 1-0 lead on a goal by Melanie Northrup.  William Smith tied the game with a goal by Brianna Tindall and pulled ahead to stay when Tatiana Korba scored with twelve minutes remaining.

Wilmington (OH) defeated Gettysburg in the second game, 1-0, on a goal by Tammy Venema with 3:05 left to play.  Gettysburg was outshot 13-4.

Gettysburg will face Nazareth at noon in Sunday's first match up.  The College of New Jersey will play William Smith at 1:00 p.m., and the final game will pit Elizabethtown against Wilmington at 2:00 p.m.
