ELIZABETHTOWN, NAZARETH, COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY VICTORIOUS IN '99 BLUE JAY CLASSIC'S SECOND DAY

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Etown (2-1) defeated Wilmington (OH), 3-0, in the final game of the Blue Jay Classic Sunday.  Goaltenders Lisa Blanker (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville) and Anna Daciw (Aston, PA/Sun Valley) combined for the shutout.

Elizabethtown's first goal came from Toni Stern (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) 30:42 into the game.  Andrea Thompson (Reading PA/Holy Name) followed by scoring at 42:17.  Jen Helsel (Miona, NY/East Syracuse-Miona) rounded out the point total with a second-half goal at 64:18.

In the first game of the day, Nazareth defeated Gettysburg, 3-1.  Katie Gonzales starred for the Golden Flyers, scoring two second half goals, including one on a penalty kick.  Missy Kehoskie scored Nazareth's first goal 7:37 into the second half.

The College of New Jersey won its game against William Smith, 3-0, later in the day.  Christine Grande scored the first goal at 16:00, and Gia Rosamilia and Denise Buckley added two more in the second half.

The Blue Jays return to action at home against Franklin and Marshall Thursday, September 9.  Game time is 4:00 p.m.
