GETTYSBURG, Pa. ---  Kristy Wade (Trumbull, CT/St. Joseph) scored both goals for Elizabethtown (5-3) to defeat Gettysburg (2-5-1) on the road, 2-1, and to break the Elizabethtown career record for goals set by Amy Hyde between 1989 and 1992.

Gettysburg took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Lauren Morrell at the 34 minute mark.  As the clock ticked down to 41 seconds remaining in the half, Wade received a pass from Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame, NJ) and fired it into the goal to tie the game at 1-1 and to tie Hyde's career goal record of 63.

Play continued for most of the second half with no further scoring.  With 3:21 remaining in regulation time, Wade redirected a cross from Andrea Thompson (Reading, PA/Holy Name) into the goal to win the game for Etown and set a new program record for career goals with 64.

Etown outshot Gettysburg 14-3 in the game, and out-cornered the Bullets 10-3.

Elizabethtown returns to action Saturday, September 25 at home against Moravian.  Game time is 1:00 p.m.
