ETOWN STOMPS MORAVIAN, 5-1 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown (6-3, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth) sent a strong message to the rest of its MAC Commonwealth opponents by blasting conference-mate Moravian, 5-1, Saturday at home. Moravian entered the game as one of the conference's stronger teams with a 6-2 record and four consecutive shutout victories. This proved to be no matter for the Blue Jays, as they outshot the Greyhounds 17-4. Before the game began, senior forward Kristy Wade (Trumbull, CT/St. Joseph) was presented with the game ball from Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Gettysburg, in which she scored both goals. By doing so, she broke the program's career goal scoring record of 63, set between 1989 and 1992 by Amy Hyde. After being presented with the ball, she was wished many more goals by her teammates. Wade obliged with career goal number 65, which proved to be the game-winner, less than a minute into the second period. Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame, NJ) led the Blue Jays with two goals, including the opening one 8 minutes into the game. Also scoring for Etown included Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) and Andrea Thompson (Reading, PA/Holy Name). Moravian's only goal was by Carli Miller (Wyomissing, PA/Wilson West Lawn). The Blue Jays return to action at Lebanon Valley in the make-up of a rained out game Monday. Game time is 4:00 p.m. at Elizabethtown, Pa.
