ETOWN DEFEATS GEORGIAN COURT, 5-2

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The latest installment in Andrea Thompson's (Reading, PA/Holy Name) monster season occurred Saturday, as she scored a hat trick for the first time in her career during Elizabethtown's 5-2 Homecoming victory over Georgian Court.

Thompson scored the game's first two goals at 1:30 and 19:20 into the game.  By six minutes into the second half, the game was tied at 2-2 following a pair of Georgian Court goals.

At 53:10, Toni Stern (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal.  Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) added another goal at 71:20, and Thompson finished the scoring with her third goal of the game at 79:40.

Thompson now leads the Blue Jays (9-3) in goals scored with ten and in points with 25.  The Blue Jays are currently riding a seven-game winning streak, during which they have given up only four goals while scoring 31.

The Blue Jays return to action on the road against Susquehanna Tuesday, October 5.  Game time is 4:00 p.m.
