ETOWN DEFEATS WELLESLEY, 2-1, IN CONSOLATION GAME OF WELLESLEY INVITATIONAL

WELLESLEY, Mass. --- Elizabethtown defeated Wellesley 2-1 Sunday in the consolation game of the Wellesley Soccer Invitational.

The winning goal for the Blue Jays was scored by Kierstin Rowe (Harrisburg, PA/Lower Dauphin) with 16:30 remaining in regulation time on an assist from Andrea Thompson (West Lawn, PA/Holy Name).

Thompson also scored the game's first goal 4:30 after the start on an assist from Eileen Fretz (Stroudsburg, PA/Notre Dame).

Wellesley's (2-2) only goal came with 22:49 remaining in the first half from Elizabeth Cope.

Elizabethtown (3-4) returns to action at home against Gettysburg. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
