ETOWN BLASTS KEAN, 7-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown defeated Kean 7-0 for Homecoming Saturday. With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 8-5-1 overall.

Elizabethtown dominated control of the ball, as the Blue Jays outshot Kean 40-0 and had nine corner kicks to one for Kean (3-9).

Andrea Thompson (West Lawn, PA/Holy Name) had a hat trick for Elizabethtown, scoring the Blue Jays' first two goals at 5:04 and 32:23 into the game, and kicking in the Blue Jays' second goal of the second half.

Denise Gordon (Etters, PA/Red Land) scored a pair of goals for Etown, with one in the first half and one in the second half. The other goal scorers included Amy Frederick (Pilesgrove, NJ/Woodstown), who also assisted Thompson's second goal, and Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township).

Lisa Blanker (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville), Anna Daciw (Aston, PA/Sun Valley) and Jackie Shoustal (Reading, PA/Exeter Township) combined for the shutout in Etown's goal.

Etown returns to action Tuesday, September 10 at home against Widener. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
