BARRY DOHNER GETS 100th CAREER WIN AS ETOWN DEFEATS LEBANON VALLEY, 4-1

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- With a 4-1 home win over Lebanon Valley Saturday, Elizabethtown improves to 11-5-1 overall and 6-0 in the Commonwealth Conference, while Lebanon Valley falls to 10-3-1 overall and 2-3 in the conference. The win was also the 100th of Etown head coach Barry Dohner's career.

The game remained a 0-0 tie for much of the first half, until Andrea Thompson (West Lawn, PA/Holy Name) broke the stalemate for Elizabethtown with only 4:24 remaining in the half.

Dina Jingoli (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame, NJ) added Elizabethtown's second goal 8:21 into the second half, triggering an Etown scoring barrage over the next four minutes in which Nicole Hundley (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) scored goals at both 10:48 in and 12:39 into the second half.

Rebecca Young (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) had a pair of assists for the Blue Jays, and Christy Callahan (Dallas, PA/Dallas) assisted one.

Lebanon Valley scored its only goal of the game with only 14:38 remaining. Amber Spell scored on an assist from Jamie Stankowski.

Barry Dohner, a 1983 alumnus of Elizabethtown College and graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School, has been coaching women's soccer at Etown since 1984 and is a teacher at the Milton Hershey School. His career record at Etown as of Saturday stands at 100-39-10.

Dohner has been named either MAC Commonwealth League or Commonwealth Conference Coach of the Year every year since 1996. He guided the Blue Jays to their first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1997, and has led the team back every year since.

The 1997 team reached the Final Four, and for his team's outstanding accomplishments, he was named 1997 NSCAA/Umbro Division III women's soccer national Coach of the Year. Dohner was also named the NSCAA/Umbro Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1997.

Etown returns to action on the road against Messiah Thursday, October 19. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
